This year I decided to make the Valentine's Day sweets myself. The idea was to improvise a little and create something not too sweet, featuring the elements characteristic of the day - red colour, heart shapes, and chocolate. Here is the recipe for the cake I made.
I want to share today's discovery - two online tools (triangulation tools) where an ordinary image or photograph can be transformed into a stylised drawing, in which all colour and shading areas are split into larger and smaller triangles while preserving the overall image. This time, a purely amateur approach - upload the chosen photo and adjust the level of detail using the tool.
From 27 January to 12 March, at Aleksandrs Čaks' memorial apartment-museum at Lāčplēša iela 48/50–14, a photography exhibition "Aleksandrs Čaks' Riga" can be viewed. It brings together photographs by Roberts Johansons and Pēteris Šmits taken in Riga during the 1920s–30s. Something of a small journey through time, albeit in black-and-white and frozen in a captured moment. Museum opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday 11:00–17:00, closed Monday and Sunday.
The gong therapy evening was led by Marija Mežecka. She warmly welcomed everyone like an attentive hostess and invited them to settle on small rugs with various little cushions and blankets on the floor. At first there were pleasant nature sounds - wind, the rushing of the sea, falling grains or nut shells. Very calming. Then the large gongs followed with a deep, vibrating sound.

Having done a couple of rounds and handled a few works by emerging artists, we left - unfortunately nothing really spoke to us.
