Željko Joksimović - Singer from Serbia
How much do we know about pop musicians from other European countries - Serbian, Croatian, Czech, Norwegian, Danish, Polish, or even Lithuanian and Estonian? When you start looking and listening around more, a good song or singer can be a genuine discovery. That is how I came across some poignant songs from the repertoire of Serbian singer Željko Joksimović. I recommend listening!

That is how I came across some poignant songs from the repertoire of Serbian singer Željko Joksimović (Жељко Јоксимовић, 20.04.1972). A popular Serbian pop performer - singer and composer - also well known in Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Slovenia, and Hungary. Latvian audiences may know him from his Eurovision appearance in 2004.
Željko Joksimović achieved his first success on stage at age 12, when he received the award for best European accordionist at a competition held in Paris in 1984. He now masters 11 musical instruments and, of course, is an accomplished vocalist who delivers resonant melodies.
I recommend listening to a couple of songs from his repertoire that truly soothe the soul -
Nedam nikom da te dira.
nedam nikom da te dira
nedam nikom duso moja, tugo
kad bih mogo da te vratim
kad bih mogo eh da biram
ja bih opet bio sa tobom
nedam nikom da te dira
nedam nikom duso moja, tugo
kad bih mogo da te vratim
kad bih mogo eh da biram
ja bih opet bio sa tobom
nemam cemu da se radujem
samo vinu kad se napijem
srce stane kad se seca
sad znam sta je to
jednom imo onda nemao
sta sam hteo imao sam
svud sam bio duso moja, tugo
prevarih se poverovah
sada vise niceg nemam
nista vise nije ostalo
nemam cemu da se radujem
samo vinu kad se napijem
srce stane kad se seca
sad znam sta je to
jednom imo onda nemao
