Flamenco Evening "Mi corazón"

At the Almost Theatre Artelis on Monday evening - 22 November at 19:00 - in collaboration with the flamenco dance club Duende, a flamenco evening was held. The venue must be said to be ideal for such an evening - I cannot imagine a better one in Riga. One could enjoy Marianna's nimble dance steps and Agustin's velvety voice timbre.

At the Almost Theatre Artelis on Monday evening - 22 November at 19:00 - in collaboration with the flamenco dance club Duende, a flamenco evening was held, which essentially consisted of two parts. The opening was a screening of Carlos Saura's film "Iberia". Then flamenco artists performed - dancer Marianna Verdecia and guitarist and singer Agustin de Cantarote. Before that, they had spent three days giving masterclasses to Duende's dancers.

The venue must be said to be ideal for such an evening - I cannot imagine a better one in Riga. Not too large a stage, a cosy atmosphere, small tables for four, dimmed and colourful lighting, good acoustics. While initially all those gathered could enjoy Marianna's nimble dance steps and Agustin's velvety voice timbre, at the end some of Duende's dancers joined on stage to perform sevillanas.
