About IINUU
Hello, iinuu reader!
We are two authors – Inga and Ēriks. We started writing a blog in April 2008. It is our way of self-expression, also a way of life.
When it comes to the topics of www.iinuu.lv, it is as diverse and colorful as life itself. I (Inga) mainly write about human psychology, nature, traveling around Latvia and near and far countries, music, dance, wine courses attended together, discovering new taste and scent bouquets, various concerts, performances, exhibitions, art projects, books read and films watched, handmade creations, paintings and photographs.
In 2015, a new section was created – Business Guru, where I share my days and nights as an entrepreneur, the most striking insights from seminars, business or networking events I have attended.
Ēriks writes his reflections on processes in Latvian politics, economics, social life, advocates for the orderliness of the urban environment, and he also has his own subsection - IT guru, where articles are written on various IT topics.
If we had to say in two words what www.iinuu.lv is about, it would be about life news and joy of life. That is, we share our thoughts, observations, knowledge, practical tips and ideas, as well as express our joy, excitement, surprise, indignation and talk about various emotional experiences or pleasures.
The blog is intended for all Latvian-speaking interested people in Latvia and abroad, regardless of gender, age, or beliefs. We believe that blogging is the free expression of one's own opinion, thoughts and attitude. It promotes critical thinking, exchange of ideas and awareness in society.
A blogger is not a journalist. A blogger does not have to follow certain canons, reflect the prevailing mood or current events in society, he is a subjective observer, enjoyer, researcher, advisor, critic, etc.
According to Gemius Audience statistics for November 2012, www.iinuu.lv was the most read Latvian blog with 16,600 unique users or 1.32% of the entire Latvian Internet user audience; in November 2013 – the third most read with 15,171 unique users or 1.18% of the Latvian Internet user audience. In the spring of 2015, www.iinuu.lv was again in second place with 14,000 readers. In the fall of 2016, the second most read blog in Latvia with 24,700 users. In the spring of 2017, in third place in Latvia in terms of users with 12,245 readers, but in the fall, it dropped to eighth position, which is natural, because not enough time was devoted to writing articles, 8,612 readers. We follow and will continue to follow the main principle of www.iinuu.lv in the future – to write about what personally seems important in everyday life, what resonates, what appeals, not to rave about fashion items, popularize various gadgets, trends, charts, etc.
