Quick Valio Yoghurt Desserts

When guests are over and you have absolutely no desire to knead dough and then stand by the oven, ingenuity comes to the rescue. And as is well known, the driving force of the world's progress is human natural laziness. So this time: desserts you can prepare in just a few minutes.

It has long been known that we are fans of travelling around Estonia, so brands and products arriving from the Nordic countries have become quite familiar. Among them: yoghurts from the Finnish company Valio, which are now widely available on Latvian supermarket shelves. Particularly beloved in our household are the Alma yoghurts with baked apples, wild strawberries and vanilla, cloudberries, and cheesecake flavour. So there is always one in the fridge.

This time two products from this company were in the fridge - newcomers with quite different flavours. One: Alma yoghurt with lingonberries (described on the label in Russian as having the flavour of lingonberry pie); the other: lactose-free yoghurt with aloe and banana.

You will need (for 6 servings):

  • Alma yoghurt with lingonberries, 380g
  • Valio lactose-free yoghurt with aloe and banana, 380g
  • classic Selga biscuits - 1 packet
  • dark chocolate shavings
  • berries for decoration

Method:

Crush the Selga biscuits with a wooden potato masher. Grate a couple of pieces of chocolate. Layer the biscuit mixture and yoghurt alternately in glasses, in about four layers. Decorate with chocolate shavings and berries. As it is wintertime, only large-berry cranberries and wild bilberries were available at home, so those were put to use. Voilà - the dessert is ready, and in two varieties and two flavours at that!
