Massage – For Body Pleasure and Health

I recommend finding the time and resources to get a therapeutic massage. It's worth both of those things, which are in short supply these days. To put it quite like a brochure - in an age of rush and sedentary lifestyle, more and more people suffer from a lack of touch, which contributes to depression, posture problems, reduced productivity and weight gain. We compensate for this lack of touch by seeking new impressions online and by eating. Feeling considerable stiffness from constant time at the computer and all the consequences that come with it, I headed to a massage salon.

Since ancient times, massage has been known as a means of preventing many ailments. If you look at what massage salons offer, there are many and varied types of massage. Massage is a powerful tool for the body as a whole, as well as for individual systems.

Feeling considerable stiffness from constant time at the computer and all the consequences that come with it, I went to the Summer Touch salon in the Alfa shopping centre. Although a single session of 40–60 min full-body massage costs a hefty Ls25–30, I decided not to scrimp and tried two of the available massage types - therapeutic massage (with professional and experienced masseuse Agita) and a slimming massage (with masseuse and physiotherapist Sandra). The massage was accompanied by pleasant relaxing music, and afterwards a warm herbal tea was served. During the slimming massage, the therapist also used a lovely-scented Maria Galland Paris oil. In addition to the physical pleasure and the kind attitude from both the masseuses and the receptionist, a pleasing and reassuring fact is that the salon is essentially a medical establishment with certified massage therapists, and all receipts can be declared in your tax return as medical procedures.

As for how I felt after the massage - the first time I felt slightly dizzy, the second time there was only a pleasant warmth throughout the body. Body tone felt like I'd been working out in the gym for an hour, but without any effort. The masseuse smiled and said that's exactly right - massage is passive exercise.

P.S. By the way, the Summer Touch salon has happy hours with a 25% discount on all massage types, as well as a loyalty card where collecting bonuses makes the 10th massage free.
