What Men Do Better Than Women

Now it's the men's turn. Also five of the many things that men are better able to accomplish than women, rooted in male thinking.

Now it's the men's turn. Also five of the many things that men are better able to accomplish than women, rooted in male thinking.

1. Men navigate space and terrain better

Women's weaker navigational abilities are explained by the level of oestrogen in the body. Women pay attention to details rather than trying to perceive space as a whole. For example, when needing to remember a route, women recall specific buildings and signs, while men try to mentally model a map of the route.

2. Men tolerate pain better

Despite the fact that women have to endure the enormous pain of childbirth, a 2013 study at an English university - in which 175 experiment participants were subjected to pain - confirmed that women have a lower pain threshold.

3. Men park cars better and faster

This is connected with men's ability to navigate space and mentally visualise three-dimensional shapes. Women are far more cautious. Experiments showed that women spend 50% more time parking a car than men.

4. Men are more self-confident

Women try harder to avoid mistakes - they usually arrive at an agreed place sooner, complete tasks more promptly, arrange things more carefully, and so on. Men are more daring and freer when experimenting and seeking solutions.

5. Men are better at packing

Women are more oriented towards process than towards result, so they give great importance to planning and organising - but for men the result matters, which is why, concentrating on one thing such as packing a travel bag, they do it faster and more precisely - nothing is left over.
