Cancer does not love women; he believes it is women who should be seeking his favour. He devotes much energy to achieving other goals. Whatever he undertakes, in every field he must be the very best. The desire to stand out among others and excessive ambition constantly spur him to conquer new heights.

Like Taurus, he is well aware of his own worth. Taurus likes women and strives to establish contact with them, whereas Cancer does not love women - he believes it is women who should be seeking his favour. He devotes much energy to achieving other goals. Whatever he undertakes, in every field he must be the very best. The desire to stand out among others and excessive ambition constantly spur him to conquer new heights. The striving for perfection extends to the sphere of sexual life as well. Although, unlike Taurus, he is incapable of experiencing deep feelings, he is nevertheless capable of doing something equally "effective" - namely, inducing in his partner a feeling of helplessness, for she is well aware that despite all her great desire, she will never be able to fully possess this man. She strives with all her might to tame him, but it is hopeless, because women occupy a fairly low position in his value system and the concept of fidelity means little to him.

His wife, if she holds a comparable social position, enjoys the privileges of a "queen" in a harem composed of the husband's favourites. Cancer's ideal is less such a harem than building a network of contacts with women who must be young, beautiful, well-groomed, and who - when necessary - must take up residence in a flat he has rented. Ties are broken if any of them proves to be utterly unbearable.
